Mairi Rankin grew up in Cape Breton, a member of the legendary Rankin family, as a fiddler, singer and stepdancer. She has developed her own unique style, toured nationally and internationally as a solo artist, a sideman and as a member of the Cape Breton band Beòlach. She has performed with the Rankin Sisters, Unusual Suspects, Bruce Guthro, and more. Mairi has recorded a solo album, 3 CDs with Beolach and has been featured on numerous compilations and recordings.
