Iain MacFarlane, a founding member of Blazin’ Fiddles, grew up steeped in traditional music in the western Highlands of Scotland.  He has worked with Gaelic singers and drama, dance, radio and television projects, and teaches at Feisean and the Irish World Music Centre.  In addition to Blazin Fiddles, he recorded two solo albums, with Iain MacDonald (of Battlefield Band and Ossian) and with his wife Ingrid and others. In the past he also stood in for the great Aly Bain of Boys of the Lough.

Ingrid Henderson learned harp from Savourna Stevenson, and music from Angus Grant and strong family influences. She won the BBC Radio 2 Young Tradition Award, worked with her brother Allan of Blazin Fiddles, toured with the Gaelic ‘supergroup‘ ‘Cliar’ for 8 years, and performs with singer Anne Martin and a trio with Gaelic singer and piper, Margaret Stewart and Angus Nicolson. Her solo album The Little Beauty was co-produced with Donald Shaw of Capercaillie.

Iain and Ingrid play with the Glenfinnan Ceilidh Band for regular dances and several recordings.
