Duo Doum is formed by the brothers Armandinho de Mendonça and Thales Branche. From traditional themes of Brazilian choro to the best of multifaceted northeastern music and emblematic versions of the Amazonian popular music repertoire, Armandinho de Mendonça and Thales Branche offer listeners a wonderful trip through Brazilian instrumental music. The fast and emotional melodies designed by Armandinho de Mendonça's violin are accompanied by Thales Branche on the seven-string guitar and voice, with intense and syncopated accompaniment and some songs from the repertoire.

Doum is the name of a mysterious third brother of Cosme and Damião, sacred twins in Brazilian Afro-religious mythology. From the meeting of these two musicians united by blood and strings, Duo Doum produces the third: a warm, playful and emotional song, widely referenced in the traditions of Brazilian popular music and its connections with the world.
